💜🐾 Whippets Shine at the Ogallala Invite! 🐾💜
The Ogallala Invite was one of the largest & toughest meets of the season, featuring 16 varsity boys, 14 varsity girls, 11 JV boys, 6 JV girls, 12 middle school boys, and 11 middle school girls teams (all schools counted, even non-scoring). Six of seven SWC schools lined up — Ogallala, Minden, McCook, Gothenburg, Cozad, Broken Bow — and the field included state-ranked Class C & D teams: C Boys #2 Gothenburg & #6 Minden; D Boys #3 North Platte St. Pat’s & #5 Perkins County; C Girls #4 Minden, #5 Chase County, #6 Gothenburg. With Top 20 Varsity, Top 10 JV, and Top 10 Middle School medals on the line, the Whippets delivered at every level.

💜 Takeaway
Against a massive field of 16 boys varsity teams, 14 girls varsity teams, plus deep JV and middle school races, the Whippets earned team success at every level — just 4 points from 2nd in varsity boys, 1 point from the girls varsity win, both JV squads runner-up, and Middle School Girls crowned champions.
This meet showed the depth and future strength of the Whippet program. 💪

National Honor Society and Interact Club are sponsoring a drive for 9-12 graders to donate supplies for the Little Free Food Pantry. It is a grade level competition to see who donates the most supplies and gets out of Access Period on Oct. 7! Donations will be accepted Sept. 29 - Oct. 3.
