Members of the high school FFA donated a book barn to our East library along with thirty agriculture books. They also delivered coloring books donated by the Kearney and Franklin County corn board. Thank you to Mrs. Oertle and the FFA members!
Tis the season to give and this week some members of the FFA chapter visited the library at East Elementary to donate a Minden FFA Book Barn. With donations from the National FFA, Kearney and Franklin Co. Farm Bureau, and the Kearney and Franklin Co. Corn Growers we were able donate the bookshelf and 31 agriculture related books and 58 Corn Kernel Activity Books. We are excited for the current students and future students at East Elementary to learn about agriculture!

MHS musicians have been hard at work preparing for the final concert of the semester! All are welcome for the free will donation soup supper in the MHS Commons from 5:30-6:40PM and the concert to follow. Come hear some small groups as well as the band, jazz band, choir, and singing club on Friday, December 19th.
Today Kirk Ramsey, President of Minden Public Schools Foundation, presented two middle school teachers with grants from the foundation. Teachers across the district had the opportunity to apply for grants that could be applied to the needs of their classroom. Congratulations Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Gray!!
A great win for the Whippet boys basketball team tonight against Central City! Next up Elm Creek on Thursday. Go Whippets!!
The Lady Whippets basketball team comes up short tonight against a top 10 ranked Central City team falling 27-54. Next up is at Elm Creek on Thursday!
And just like that the 7th grade girls basketball season is over. Great season, it was a lot of fun watching you play! Go Whippets!
