Jaelyn, Sawyer, and Hailey spent the day at the Kearney Underclassmen Honor Band! Select 9th/10th grade students from across the state rehearse music all day to prepare for a concert to end the event. All 3 MHS band members were in the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Robert Cody from Concordia University.

The 2026 Southwest Conference Basketball Tournament bracket has been released. The first round games will be played on Tuesday January 27th with the girls at home vs. Broken Bow and the boys at McCook. Both first round games start at 6:00pm. Consolations games will be played on Thursday the 29th at home sites, the semi finals games are scheduled for Friday the 30th at North Platte CC, and the the finals are on Saturday the 31st at North Platte CC. So much incredible work in our high school art display cases! The dedication and creativity of our students really show. It’s amazing to be in a district that supports displaying and celebrating student work.

7-8 B BB today: Due to low numbers for Christ Lutheran, Minden 7th B team will play in the CLJ starting at 4:30. Minden 7th A team will play in the High School at approximately 5:15 pm. Minden 8th A team will play in the High School at 4:30 and Minden 8th B team will play in the High School at approximately 6:15 pm in the final game vs. Hastings St. Cecilia. Go Whippets!

Credit/Debit Card Payments Now Accepted at MHS/CLJ Home Events!!

We are excited to announce that we are now able to accept credit/debit card payments for ADMISSION AND CONCESSIONS at MPS home events! We are able to accept both card payments as well as apple pay. We are starting this service on Thursday January 15th for the home junior high boys basketball games and we will offer this option for Friday home wrestling and Saturday home basketball as well. We then will continue to offer this option at most home events moving forward. We know this will be a great convenience for those who prefer to use a card over cash.

PLEASE NOTE:
1. There is a processing fee that the customer will pay per transaction.
2. We WILL continue to take cash as we have always done.
