Before and After School Pick-up: Working with MPD, we have some concerns about the pick-up and drop-off process at CLJ. Attached is a map and directions on what we need parents to do when coming to the school in the mornings and afternoons. We need everyone to be safe. Give yourself some extra time and look out for students coming and going from school.

Varsity Event Admission: $6 Adults $5 Students
JV and JH Event Admission: $5 Adult $4 Students
ACTIVITY TICKETS and PASSES:
Student Activity Ticket/Pass: $35 (1st through 12th grades)
Single Adult Pass: $80
Family Pass: $225 (2 parents and any number of MPS school age students in the household)

K-12 students will be starting school on Wednesday, August 13th. This is a reminder that we will have several young drivers and buses back on the road. Please be careful around intersections, both in town and out on gravel roads. Be safe, and give yourself time.
Mark your calendars for the fall kick off meeting for high school play production! All 9-12 grade students are eligible to participate! We will meet Tuesday, August 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the theater. We will unveil this year's show and talk about how every student can find a role in play production!

The MHS Dance Team is hosting Whippet Vision Movie Night on Kuper Field on Friday August 8th!! The movie will begin at 8:30pm on the video board, and concessions are available. We hope to see a great turn out and support the MHS Dance Team!!!

Navi Lennemann, Ellie Hunt, and Sawyer Grotrian were selected for the All American Dance Team! They will travel to Florida in November and take part in the Varsity Spirit Wear Spectacular at Disney World! GREAT JOB!!
Mark your calendars for Thursday August 7th! MHS will host Freshman Orientation at 6pm and the High School Fall Sports Parent Meetings at 7pm in the PAC. If your child intends to participate in cross country, girls golf, football, or volleyball please plan to attend.
A reminder: the Summer Lunch Program will continue for another two weeks. Our last pickup day will be Tuesday, July 29th. Pick up your summer lunch at East Elementary from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd and 29th.
Kuper Field archway project near completion! At the new archway gate entry points are now installed at the MHS football field/track!!! This was a HUGE project as these were fabricated from scratch largely by the MHS metals class. There were many individuals and local businesses that assisted with this project so it was a fantastic school and community partnership!! A special thanks goes out to the following: Bob Carlson, Rick Chramosta, Grayson Tool, Minden Machine, Vincent Sumstine, Chad Schmidt, Travis Dassinger, and all of the MHS students who worked on this project. You will be able to read more about this project in the Minden Courier in the near future!!!
The new CTSO Honor Wall is up in the upstairs foyer at MHS! This is a great way to recognize all of the accomplishments of those students in FBLA, FCCLA, and FFA!!

Minden’s own Koltdyn Heath followed up his first-round score of 66 with a great second-round ride this morning, earning a 75 in the Bareback event. Kanin Heath, who also scored a 66 on his first ride, is scheduled for his second round Friday evening.

Minden’s own Kanin Heath scored a 66 on his first go-around Bareback ride at the 2025 National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyoming, this morning. Both Kanin and Koltdyn will be competing in the Bareback event throughout the week on the Cowboy+ Channel. Koltdyn is scheduled to ride Tuesday afternoon and again Thursday morning. Kanin’s second ride will take place Friday afternoon.
Speech & Play Production families: we are working the Lions Club Food Stand on Friday, July 18 at the county fair, morning and evening. An email with a link to the sign up sheet was sent. Contact Coach Horner if you didn't get that email. Any incoming freshmen who plan to do speech or play pro, we welcome your help.
