BASKETBALL CANCELLED FOR TODAY:
The basketball games scheduled for tonight both for the high school (at Saint Cecilia) and middle school (at home) have been cancelled due to the latest winter weather forecast. Practices are allowed after school today, but all practices must end by 6pm.
TIME CHANGE FOR BASKETBALL SATURDAY 13th:
Due to the forecasted cold temperatures we are moving the start times for the high school home basketball games on Saturday 2 hours earlier than originally scheduled. JV will now start at 1pm, girls varsity 2:30pm, and boys varsity 4:00pm.
HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR THURSDAY 11th:
The high school games scheduled at Hastings St Cecilia for Thursday 11th will now be VARSITY ONLY. Varsity girls starts at 4:30pm with the boys game to follow. NO JV games will be played. This will allow our teams to play the games and return home before it is overly late in the evening. We are hoping to get these games in if at all possible.
We have a fantastic custodian and maintenance team. Thank You for all the time and effort you put in!
The high school home girls wrestling triangular that was scheduled for today has been rescheduled to Monday January 15th. The start time and details remain the same.
The high school basketball games originally scheduled for today at Ravenna have been CANCELLED and will NOT be rescheduled.

The MPS Board Meeting for tonight has been rescheduled to Monday, January 15th, at 7:00 p.m. Please be safe. Minden has been upgraded to a Blizzard warning until tomorrow morning.
Due to poor road conditions and increased wind. MPS will not have school on Tuesday, January 9. We will not have evening activities. Please be careful. The highways and east-west roads are slick, and visibility is poor.
Minden wrestler were the champs at the Central City Invite yesterday! It was awesome for these kids to put together a great day as a team. Thanks to all the fans who are supporting us along the way!
Due to the incoming winter storm, MPS will not have school tomorrow and no evening activities. There is a possibility of a late start on Tuesday. We will get the information out as soon as we know. Please drive carefully and be prepared for a large amount of snow tomorrow.

REMINDER: there will only be 2 quarters of JV for both the girls and boys tonight. Because of this, we have pushed the start time back to 5:00pm for the JV games. The full varsity games will follow the JV games.
Wrestling clock person NEEDED for home dual tournament on Friday January 12th. Whippet Nation, we are in need of one more person to run a score clock in the CL Jones gym on Friday January 12th for our Dual Tournament. Wrestling starts at 3pm and we will serve a meal to all helpers and meet workers! Please call the high school office to let Mr. Strong know if you would be able to help in this role. Due to the dense fog advisory and freezing fog advisory that lasts until noon on Thursday January 4th, there will be NO morning practices Thursday. 8th grade boys basketball will now practice after school. Also, the high school girls wrestling team departure time to Columbus has been delayed to 6:30am. We will determine if it is safe for them to make the trip to Columbus Thursday morning by 5:45am and then Coach Ostrom will get word out to the wrestlers.

Holiday Basketball Tournament at Grand Island Central Catholic starts today! This is a quick reminder that the GICC Holiday Basketball tournament takes place today and tomorrow. The girls play GICC at 6pm tonight in the south gym and the boys follow in the same gym. The full bracket is included as an attached picture.
