The MHS play production team has embarked upon their voyage of the 2023 season. They held their read through of the script last evening. Watch the calendar for more information on performances coming up in November!
MPS Activity Update for September 4th through the 10th!
The MHS Media Center is hosting Sora September this month. Sora gives you on-demand access to thousands of books, magazines, audiobooks and e-books from your phone, iPad or Chromebook. Students who come to the media center to sign in will earn a sweet treat!
We were able to pick up a JV Football contest for Tuesday September 5th to replace the St Paul game that was cancelled. Our JV Football team will now travel to Wood River and play a contest involving Wood River and GICC at 6:30pm on 9/5/23. The format will be somewhat unique compared to a traditional game.
The JV home football game scheduled for Tuesday September 5th agains St Paul has been CANCELLED. St Paul does not have enough players to play this game. We are working on lining up some potential replacement games but regardless there will NOT be a home JV football game on Tuesday September 5th in Minden.
The 2022-2023 MHS yearbooks have arrived!
2023 GRADUATES, if you have a younger sibling still in school, books will be sent home with them. Otherwise, graduates' yearbooks will be available at the high school office. Stop by during school hours to pick yours up.
The Trailblazer softball team came up short tonight with a 5-3 loss against CCV in a hard fought game. They are back in action against Seward tomorrow at Smith Complex in Hastings and then back home in Minden on Thursday against Cozad.

Minden High School would like to thank everyone for the help provided running the Volleyball Invitational today as well as for the community support! It was a great day of volleyball and a great way to showcase our school and atmosphere!

Whippets come up short today falling to Adams Central 6-7. We are proud of the boys and coaches for fighting through some significant adversity this whole week.
Next Friday we take on St Paul for the first home game of the season!
Update #2: After talking with Adam Central Administration, we are able to play the remainder of the football game at 3:30 today at Adam Central.
Update: We will not be playing the football game with Adam Central at noon today. We will keep everyone posted as we get more information.
Adam Central released this statement tonight:
Tonight, during the rain delay at the football game, we became aware of a potential threat at our school. Once this was brought to our attention, we involved the authorities and went into lockdown. When it was determined that there was not a threat at school by the Adams County Sheriff's Department and school officials, everyone who was in the building was safely escorted to their vehicles and safely left the parking lot. While we cannot provide specific details due to ongoing investigations and privacy concerns, we want to assure you that we take all threats seriously and are working closely with local law enforcement to thoroughly assess the situation and ensure the safety of our students and staff.
The Varsity FB game with Adam Central is potentially postponed until Saturday, August 25th at noon. We will get information out if we will be playing this game.
The football game is currently in a lightning delay. We will monitor conditions to determine when it is safe to restart. Updates will be posted when available.
