This remarkable team dominated the state tournament over the last few days. They added a 12th team title to the Minden Girls Golf history books. Minden now sits in 2nd place (all class) for number of team titles.
They set a new 36-hole record, beating the 2003 record by 26 strokes. They also set a new 18-hole record with their 321 yesterday and tied the 9-hole record with a front 9 score of 158 yesterday.
The two-day team score of 649 is the lowest non-Class A team score in state tournament history!
This unbelievable performance will go down in history as one of the very best. Please celebrate these STATE CHAMPIONS!
💜 KayLynn Jorgensen 💜
On Monday and Tuesday of this week, KayLynn dominated the Class C State Golf Tournament.
She shot a two-day total of 143 (74-69). She broke the best individual 36-hole school record by 10 strokes. She also set the best individual 9-hole score with a 32 on the front 9 yesterday, beating her previous record of 33.
She had the lowest total score of all classes this week and was the only player to shoot under par. Her 18-hole score yesterday is tied for 3rd in all-time low scores at the state tournament.
KayLynn made history, and we are so proud of the four years of hard work that created this amazing amount of success. Congratulations to KayLynn! Whippet Nation, celebrate this champion!

MPS & KCHS Invite your chid to get their flu shot! We are pleased to partner with Kearney County Health Services to make influenza vaccinations available to students in grade 4-12!
October 22nd Minden Middle School & High School students are invited to get their flu shot at school.
To enroll for the influenza vaccination, please complete and return the Influenza Vaccine consent form found @www.mindenwhippets.org, on the home page under Flu Shot Information. Please submit ONE INDIVIDUAL FORM PER STUDENT.
Return registration forms to the school nurse or building office by October 21st.
