The girls came out yesterday and played a fantastic game against a tough Gothenburg team.
We want to thank Mr. Strong and the rest of the admin team for keeping us safe, warm, and housed in Lincoln this week. Your efforts to make sure we could just focus on the game are so appreciated. We want to celebrate our amazing fans, trainers, coaches, parents, cheerleaders, band, and rowdy crowd for their support. Our community is so special, and we are very lucky to represent Minden.
What these girls have accomplished is nothing short of amazing. It’s very rare to create so much success in so many programs, and it didn’t come easy. They’ve dedicated years of hard work and dedication to Whippet Nation. When you see them, please celebrate them.
Thank you, players! You are strong basketball players and the best humans. We thank our seniors for leading us and loving us, and we will continue to make you proud in the years to come. Shine on! You gave us so much!

Every year the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association recognizes high school band programs who have an average GPA of 3.5 or higher by awarding them with the Excellence in Academic Achievement Award. Congratulations to the MHS Whippet Band for earning this award!
A great effort by our Lady Whippets in the semi finals today but we fell to Millford 67-61. We play for 3rd place on Saturday at 1pm at Lincoln Standing Bear High School. Tomorrow we will play a familiar team in Gothenburg. WHIPPET PROUD!!

We hope to see a HUGE turnout of Whippet faithful for the Girls Basketball Semi Final game on Friday morning at 10:45am at Pinnacle Bank Arena!! Our girls will face a very talented Milford team. We are the home team and thus the home side is considered the north and east sections. Below and attached, you will find some additional information for those making the trip to PBA Friday morning! Speech Performance Night has been rescheduled for 3/6/25!
Whippets defeat SCOTUS 42-37 and advance to the semi finals of state!!! We will play Friday morning at 10:45am at PBA against the winner of Milford/Arlington. Great win ladies!!!!!
