holding a Flu shot clinic for staff and students in grades 4-12 on October 22,
2025. Flu shot clinic for CLJ middle school will begin at 8:30 am in the
nurse’s office, followed by the HS in the green room. We will be at East
Elementary beginning at 3:30 for East staff and their children if signed up.
Please remember spouses/significant others are welcome to receive flu
shots. They just need to complete consent forms. Please complete a flu
shot consent form for each student. Consent forms should be returned to
your students building office by Oct 21, 2025. If you have any questions
please call your medical provider or Nurse Julie at 830-2696 during school
hours.

The kitchen staff is excited for the 25/26 school year. This year we would like to get the Beef for Schools program up and running again. Our goal is to feed our students with local nutritious foods and we need your help.
Thanks to generous donations in the past we have an account to help fund our first few processed beef. We are looking to our community for anyone who would like to donate a cow or TWO!! Keep your eyes open because the cafeteria staff are teaming up with our FFA Students!
We would also love any extra home grown produce you would like to donate to the school lunch program! Corn on the Cobb, pumpkin. squash etc. We loving having fresh and local food in our cafeteria's!
Come out and support your Whippet Cross Country teams in their last chance to race at home this season! Let’s pack the course and cheer them on loud and proud! 💜🐾

2. The location of the HS Volleyball Triangular with Northwest and Hastings on Tuesday 9/16 is @ Grand Island Northwest. The poster shows this event at Hastings High, but that is incorrect.

It was a fantastic day for Minden Cross Country, with strong team and individual performances across every level.
✨ High School Girls – Team Champions!
The girls captured the title with outstanding efforts. Medalists included Alexa Warner (3rd), Adelyn Whitten (4th), Aclynn Osterbuhr (6th), and Evie Sharkey (10th), with Adaire Crane (13th) right behind. True championship depth!
💪 High School Boys – Team Runner-Up!
The boys battled hard for 2nd place. Gage Thull (2nd), Javier Perales (5th), and Isaac Reed (10th) all medaled in the Top 15, with Trystan Sharkey (19th) and Steve Rhodes (23rd) rounding out the team scoring.
🌟 Middle School Girls – Team Champions!
The future looks bright! Gemma Fritson (2nd), Regan Johnson (3rd), Emerson Kuehn (5th), and Kinsey Morey (7th) all earned Top 10 medals, leading the team to victory.
💥 Middle School Boys – 4th Place!
The boys showed grit with Blake Boudreau (7th) and Brantley Wright (10th) both breaking into the Top 10 medalists.
