Nathan Althouse, Speech Class B State Entertainment Champion, was invited to record his speech today at the NPM Studios in Lincoln for the Best of the Best Speech Broadcast which will air April 27 at 2:00 on Nebraska Public Media. It was a great way to spend his 18th birthday!
The high school hosted SWC quiz bowl today. Our team placed 4th! Thank you to everyone who helped make today a great day!
Addison (bass) and Abby (trombone) were able to take part in the inaugural season of the Central Nebraska Youth Jazz Ensemble! This newly formed group is an auditioned ensemble that rehearsed Sunday afternoons this year to prepare for 2 performances. Their final performance was held tonight at the Merryman Performing Arts Center in Kearney as part of the Central Nebraska Jazz Festival. Congratulations and great job representing Minden and our band program!
Girls entering grades 7 through 12 are invited to attend a golf meeting in Mrs. Maulsby's room on Monday, April 21 at 7:30 am. If you are considering girls golf in high school, we would love to share some information with you!

Our JV golf team hosted a par 3 invite today! Carter came away with 5th place, shooting a 68. Luke snagged a 15th place medal, shooting a 76. The varsity crew is headed to Lakeside tomorrow for the Lex invite.

Minden finishes second in the Division 2 State Rocket League tournament. Treven Keen, Dalton Pasbrig, Chase Nuzum, and Kameron Marshall. Great season boys!
These FBLA members had an incredible time at the State Leadership Conference in Kearney over the past three days! We're proud to share that 19 events placed in the Top 8, with students recognized on stage for their achievements. Even more exciting - 8 of those events placed in the Top 3, earning those students a spot at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA this summer! (Not Pictured: Addison & Brynn)
The FCCLA set-up crew was busy tonight getting ready for the FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE tomorrow (Saturday) night! We hope to see all Dads and daughters from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Minden Fairgrounds. There will be a pasta dinner, basket raffles, music and FUN!!! ALL AGES are welcome!
