The sophomore class Connect the Dots career event Monday, February 15 has been cancelled due to power outage in Holdrege.
The sophomore class will still attend the Connect the Dots career event in Holdrege tomorrow (February 15). They will load at 9:45 a.m. They will return by the end of the school day. Lunch is provided.
Reminder: Girls basketball plays sub districts Monday at Hastings St. Cecilia gym at 7 pm vs. Gibbon. The Wrestling team competes at state wrestling Friday-Saturday at the CHI Center in Omaha starting at 9 am each day. Information for both is on the website under documents.

The speech meet today will start at 10:00 instead of 9:00 due to the snow. The meet is closed to spectators.
Announcement: For district wrestling tomorrow-We are allowing 6 per participant and our ticket taker will just tally next to the name on the roster. Admission will begin at 9:30 AM - $8 for adults/$6 for students, no concessions will be available
Minden is hosting the 17th annual Minden Invite Speech Meet tomorrow. Due to the unique nature of performance rooms, we will not be allowing spectators at the meet. Awards will be livestreamed on the Whippet Nation Network youtube channel at around 4:30.
Cancellation: Due to cold temperatures and predicted snow the Wood River Reserve basketball tournament has been cancelled for Saturday, Feb. 13th.

Congrats to Minden Purple for placing 2nd at our middle school quiz bowl this morning. Minden White did a great job as well. Axtell earned 1st place & Shelton also competed.
District Wrestling: With the new NSAA updated Covid Guidelines wrestlers/coaches are now allowed 6 spectators apiece! Family lists will be shared with Blair HS. You must identify which wrestler/coach you are attending for at the gate. Go Whippets!
The NSAA updated their covid guidelines starting Thursday, Feb. 12th. We are now allowed up to 75% seating capacity!! All other guidelines stayed the same including masking.
