Football Scrimmage 2023!
52nd Annual - 7 Mile Marathon (and 3.5m). Saturday, August 19th - 7:00am. Just WEST of E-Free Church. Athletes will finish near the FFA Garden or corner of West 5th St. & Park Ave.
As a reminder the Minden Whippet football drink scrimmage is taking place tonight at 6pm! The admission for attending tonight is sports drinks. We will have a truck parked near the entrance gate on the west side of the stadium. Feel free to simply put the drinks you bring in the back of the truck. Also, the steak feed fundraiser will take place after the scrimmage at Minden Country Club. All are welcome to attend for a great steak dinner! Cost for the steak dinner is $20 and proceeds will go to the Minden High School Football Program. It will be a fun night!

Our biggest fan was able to take time out of his crazy schedule to give us a rules review. UNK Chancellor Doug Kristensen knows his golf and goes all out every year to support our team!
The Minden activities and athletics fall posters have been printed and are now available for pick up. Those interested may pick up your copy at the high school office or at First Bank of Minden. We will also have copies available at home volleyball games this season at the ticket table!

Yesterday was neon day and today is Game Day!! The volleyball team will play Jamboree games today (8/17) at Doniphan-Trumbull at 5:00 followed by Centura around 6:00. Entry fees from this match support the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame in Lincoln. Go Whippets!!
Congratulations to our volleyball teammate of the week last week, Mattie Kamery. She was nominated by Tessa Morey for being an encouraging teammate and making her feel like she is part of the family. We had many nominations which is always fun for our team. The winner is chosen at random each week. Congratulations Mattie. We are proud of you!! #TrustTheClimb
Softball Update for Lexington Invite on Saturday 8/19:
Due to the forecasted heat, the start time for the tournament at Lexington on Saturday 8/19 has been moved up an hour. The Highway 6 Trailblazers will play their first game at 8am on Saturday. The previous start time was set for 9am. They are also making a few other adjustments to help their tournament run more quickly.
Golf may be a quiet tradition here at Minden, but we want your support. We have SEVERAL opportunities for you to see our girls with a unique schedule this year. It's tough to keep quiet about this team and this program's history...and future!

We are excited for the 2023-2024 school year to get started. School will start on Wednesday, August 16th, at the regular time. Fridays are 2:00/2:10 dismissal times. We look forward to seeing everyone, and have a great school year!
