Adam Central released this statement tonight:
Tonight, during the rain delay at the football game, we became aware of a potential threat at our school. Once this was brought to our attention, we involved the authorities and went into lockdown. When it was determined that there was not a threat at school by the Adams County Sheriff's Department and school officials, everyone who was in the building was safely escorted to their vehicles and safely left the parking lot. While we cannot provide specific details due to ongoing investigations and privacy concerns, we want to assure you that we take all threats seriously and are working closely with local law enforcement to thoroughly assess the situation and ensure the safety of our students and staff.
The Varsity FB game with Adam Central is potentially postponed until Saturday, August 25th at noon. We will get information out if we will be playing this game.

The football game is currently in a lightning delay. We will monitor conditions to determine when it is safe to restart. Updates will be posted when available.
Football season has arrived. Whippets are looking great!

Volleyball Fans: the MHS drink cooler decided it wanted to stop working for us and we have been unable to get it repaired. We have iced down as much drink as we can tonight but realize we will have a somewhat limited supply of cold drinks for the matches tonight.

The Textiles class is starting the year with their 1st Annual Barbie Design contest. Class members have taken on roles as fashion designers, and have drawn up some incredible outfits. Now they have to re-create their designs and dress their dolls. With 49 students in Textiles this year, rounding up that many dolls has been a real challenge! Believe it or not, we have enough Barbies ... but we are in need of 3 more Ken dolls. If anyone out there has a Ken we can borrow for a week or so, it would be greatly appreciated. Just text Mrs. Johnson at (308) 528-0161. THANKS!
