🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The 2025 Minden Invite was a HUGE success!
The Whippets had a great day with both varsity teams finishing 3rd overall against a loaded field.
Girls: 2 in the Top 15
Boys: 4 in the Top 12
Nearly every athlete ran a PR!
The Middle School Girls brought home the Team Championship with 4 runners in the Top 10. The Middle School Boys placed 2 in the Top 16.
⭐ The biggest win of the day, though, was MINDEN. The Invite was back to its tradition of excellence, featuring 8 varsity teams and 9 middle school teams.
Ranked teams in attendance:
Boys: Class B #6 GI Northwest, Class C #3 Gothenburg, #7 Minden, #8 Milford
Girls: #3 Adams Central, #4 Minden, #5 Gothenburg, #7 Milford
The performances were outstanding:
6 girls broke the 20-minute barrier
2 boys broke 16 minutes, highlighted by Tyler Hetz setting a new Minden Invite & Course Record in 15:49.19!
(That’s 54 years of history on this course!)
🎉 The Munchkin Races were a hit! Huge thanks to Minden’s Runza for treating every participant with free ice cream certificates. 🍦

We appreciate Mike Donohue taking time to speak with our middle school students today sharing the message from his "Value Up" program. Mike's presentation focused on students valuing themselves, their peers, and building positive relationships. We look forward to working with Mike throughout the year!
