The 2024 Southwest Conference Basketball Tournament bracket is now set. The Minden girls are the #1 seed and will play at home on Tuesday 23rd vs. either Cozad (6pm start) or Valentine (5pm start). The boys are the #7 seed and will play at Cozad on Tuesday 23rd at 6pm.

The Boys Reserve level basketball game at Kearney Catholic scheduled for Thursday January 18th has been CANCELLED. This is due to both schools hosting rescheduled contests.
7th-8th B BB plays Tuesday, Jan. 16th at the Lexington MS at 4:15 pm. 7th in the YMCA gym and 8th in the MS gym. Go Whippets!
Our girls middle school wrestling team will not attend the Barr wrestling invite today as it's canceled.
In two weeks the girls wrestling team will compete in the NSWCA Girls State Dual Invite! This shows the amazing growth and quality of our girls wrestling program. Below is a link to order apparel by the 21st.

The Cheer Kids Camp that was scheduled to take place on Saturday 13th has been POSTPONED due to the basketball game being rescheduled. The future date of the cheer kids camp is TBD. More information will be shared regarding this event when available.
Home basketball scheduled for Saturday January 13th vs McCook has been RESCHEDULED to Thursday January 18th. On the 18th basketball vs McCook will be VARSITY ONLY with girls starting at 5pm and boys at 6:30pm. Also on Thursday the 18th, the girls and boys high school wrestling dual vs. Central City will now take place in the CL Jones gym and 7th grade boys basketball vs. Cozad will now be played in the Activities Gym.
Speech CNFL at Grand Island on Saturday January 13th has been CANCELLED.
The boys wrestling Dual Invitational that was scheduled for today has been CANCELLED. The home basketball games scheduled for Saturday January 13th are still on as scheduled for now. We will communicate with McCook later today and make a final determination for the Saturday basketball games.
MPS will not have school today, Friday, January 12th. Road crews are working hard to open up the roads. Drifts, visibility, and wind chill will be a problem for today and the weekend. We will get information about activities later today. Please be safe.
The Gothenburg Boys Dual Tournament scheduled for Saturday January 13th has been CANCELLED.
Kids cheer camp will continue as scheduled for Saturday January 13th from 1:00-2:00pm in the activities gym. The camp participants will perform at half time of the boys varisty game that begins at 4pm. Girls will report to theater at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of the boys game to prepare for the performance.
High School Girls Wrestling Invitational at Ord scheduled for Friday 12th has been CANCELLED.

Due to the extreme cold conditions, if you need help transporting your child to and from school, please call the school office. We will help transport to ensure students do not have to walk in the cold.
BASKETBALL CANCELLED FOR TODAY:
The basketball games scheduled for tonight both for the high school (at Saint Cecilia) and middle school (at home) have been cancelled due to the latest winter weather forecast. Practices are allowed after school today, but all practices must end by 6pm.
