As a reminder the Minden Whippet football drink scrimmage is taking place tonight at 6pm! The admission for attending tonight is sports drinks. We will have a truck parked near the entrance gate on the west side of the stadium. Feel free to simply put the drinks you bring in the back of the truck. Also, the steak feed fundraiser will take place after the scrimmage at Minden Country Club. All are welcome to attend for a great steak dinner! Cost for the steak dinner is $20 and proceeds will go to the Minden High School Football Program. It will be a fun night!

The Minden activities and athletics fall posters have been printed and are now available for pick up. Those interested may pick up your copy at the high school office or at First Bank of Minden. We will also have copies available at home volleyball games this season at the ticket table!

Softball Update for Lexington Invite on Saturday 8/19:
Due to the forecasted heat, the start time for the tournament at Lexington on Saturday 8/19 has been moved up an hour. The Highway 6 Trailblazers will play their first game at 8am on Saturday. The previous start time was set for 9am. They are also making a few other adjustments to help their tournament run more quickly.
Here is the schedule for August 16th.
We are excited for the 2023-2024 school year to get started. School will start on Wednesday, August 16th, at the regular time. Fridays are 2:00/2:10 dismissal times. We look forward to seeing everyone, and have a great school year!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL INFO FOR HIGH SCHOOL:
Grade 9 will report at 8:00 AM on August 16th.
Grades 10-11-12 will report at 10:30 AM on August 16th.
Students in grades 10-12 will start at 10:30 AM to allow us to better serve our freshman class that morning.

MHS One Act Play Production will kick off the season with a parent & student meeting on August 21 at 7:30. All are welcome!
Fall Sports Parent Meeting for Minden High School is scheduled for Monday August 14th. The overall meeting will start at 7pm in the auditorium. We will then break into individual sport meetings at about 7:15pm for football, volleyball, cross country, and girls golf. We will also have Activity Tickets/Fee and passes available for purchase before the meeting as well. Activity Ticket/Fee for participants is $30, individual adult passes are $75, and family passes are $200.
SENIORS ready to apply to the University of Nebraska (Kearney, Lincoln, or Omaha), if you apply before November 1st and use the code in the attached image when you check out, your $45 application fee will be waived! Stop in the counseling office if you have questions!
Congratulations to Samuel Cederburg, Rebbeca Lempka, & Arabella Reed for being selected to the Representative Adrian Smith 3rd District Youth Advisory Board for the coming school year. These MHS students were among the 20 total students selected from Nebraska's 3rd District.
PSA: After August 7th, the road crew will begin grinding on Hwy 10. This could cause lane closures and one-way traffic on Brown/Hwy 10 for several weeks. The traffic light at 1st & Brown may not be installed until September. Please give yourself extra time and watch for kids.
