Minden High School Senior Honors/Scholarship Night will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 in the high school auditorium. Please note the time change from the original start time of 7:30 p.m. posted in the school calendar.
Many of our high school students made the AAA Promise to enjoy prom weekend safely. The SADD club sponsors this project each year.

Congratulations to the speech team on a 7th place finish as a team at the Class B State Meet. Grace Lee took 2nd in humorous prose and 4th in serious prose. Sara Shirley was 5th in poetry. Sam Cederburg was 5th in extemporaneous. It was a great day to be a whippet!
Good luck to our Whippet Speech Team as they head to state speech tomorrow at Kearney High. Ten events have qualified to compete! Competition starts Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
The speech team took the runner-up plaque by a mere 2 points today at the B-5 District Speech meet. Sixteen events qualified for finals. Ten of our events advance to the state tournament. It was a great day! State speech is March 15 at Kearney High.
Whippets have 16 of 20 events in the speech district final! Awards will be around 6:00 p.m.

The speech team has had a busy week! They competed at the Holdrege Invite on Saturday. They headed to the Southwest Conference Meet in Cozad on Monday, and then they had their Speech Showcase last evening. Results from the last two meets are posted here. District speech is next!
The speech team hopes to see you this evening for their annual Speech Team Showcase. The evening starts in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. No admission will be charged.
The Speech Team took the Runner-Up plaque today at the Southwest Conference Speech Tournament finishing behind a strong Gothenburg team. Minden put 15 of 20 events in the finals. Evan Porter & Nate Althouse were Duet Acting Champions. It was a great day to be a whippet!

The speech team had a great day at the Voices of the Plains Speech Meet in Holdrege. The team took 2nd as a team in varsity & 1st as a team in novice, In addition, they earned 5 gold medals in varsity events and 5 gold medals in novice events. It was a great day to be a whippet!
