The speech team has had a busy week! They competed at the Holdrege Invite on Saturday. They headed to the Southwest Conference Meet in Cozad on Monday, and then they had their Speech Showcase last evening. Results from the last two meets are posted here. District speech is next!
The speech team hopes to see you this evening for their annual Speech Team Showcase. The evening starts in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. No admission will be charged.
The Speech Team took the Runner-Up plaque today at the Southwest Conference Speech Tournament finishing behind a strong Gothenburg team. Minden put 15 of 20 events in the finals. Evan Porter & Nate Althouse were Duet Acting Champions. It was a great day to be a whippet!
Driver's Education Classes will be in Minden: July 10-14 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The speech team had a great day at the Voices of the Plains Speech Meet in Holdrege. The team took 2nd as a team in varsity & 1st as a team in novice, In addition, they earned 5 gold medals in varsity events and 5 gold medals in novice events. It was a great day to be a whippet!

The speech team had a fabulous day at Loup City. We earned 4 varsity and 5 novice gold medals and team champs in both novice and varsity divisions. Special shout out to Evan Porter for being a TRIPLE GOLD MEDAL winner.
Five members representing MHS National Honor Society presented the staff at KCHS Clinic with fruit, vegetable, and cheese trays on Friday, Feb. 17, to show their appreciation for all that the healthcare workers do for our community.
Congratulations to Rilan Olson who signed with LandMark Implement to attend Central Community College in Hastings to earn a degree in Agricultural Sciences with an emphasis in Precision Agriculture and become part of the LandMark team.

The speech team hosted 29 schools on Saturday at the 19th annual Minden Invite! It was a great day for the whippets as they pulled in 30 medals. Thank you to all who came out to support the team!
