Lady Whippets fall to the Dusters in the Sub District tonight to end their season. It was a tough shooting night but the effort was fantastic. These seniors had a remarkable basketball career with 2 state tournament births and a 3rd place finish in 2025. They always played with great energy and have high character. Win or lose, this is always a program Whippet Nation can be proud of!

Victoria Hansen gets her first career win at the state tournament today in Omaha. She went 1-1 on the day. Marlie Peterson went 0-1 on the day. Both girls will wrestle on Wednesday!

Minden hosted 24 teams and 233 students on Saturday at the 22nd annual Minden Invitational Speech Meet. It was a wonderful day of competition and fun. The team did well with many medalists. Thank you to all who came out to support our team at the meet!

The speech team had a great day at the Central Nebraska Forensics League #2 tournament in Grand Island. They earned 4th place as a team at this very competitive meet of twenty schools. They will continue their season Saturday at the Aurora Husky Invitational.

You can pick MINDEN's basket or buy a ticket for any of the other baskets as well. Proceeds will help fund ESU#11 Summer Honors 2026! Raffle will go until Feb 15. You will be notified if you have won! Summer Honors is a two week educational program offered to service unit students. It is held in Holdrege. Classes include math, psychology, drama, art, film, architecture, computer science, creative writing, logic, medical science, and office intern. The Speech Team braved the cold Saturday and headed to the Broken Bow Invite in the beautifully renovated Broken Bow High School! The team placed 2nd overall, and many whippets earned medals. It was a great day to be a whippet!
