Update from Nurse Julie: American Heart Association packets need to be turned in by February 28th.

We will have a 10:00 late start tomorrow Wednesday February 20th. We want to give everyone extra time with these extreme temperatures and road conditions.


Due to poor road conditions and extreme cold we will not have school tomorrow. Please be safe and if you have to drive, give yourself extra time. Have a good evening.


East Elementary doors will open beginning at 9:30 today. Breakfast will not be served and no morning preschool. Please call the school office for a ride this morning instead of having your child walk to school. Thank you, Mrs. Pohl

Due to poor road conditions are snow removal MPS will have a 10:00 late start today, February 17th. No morning preschool.


Extreme Cold Watch is in effect from Monday through Thursday. A prolonged period of dangerously cold wind chills as low
as 15 to 30 degrees below zero is possible. Be safe, and if you need a ride, call your school building, and we can arrange a ride.

Updated East Elementary book fair shopping times:
Open on Thursday to all shoppers from 1:00-6:30
Open for students to shop during the school days on Thursday and Monday


Due to poor road conditions, extreme cold temperatures, and continued snowfall, MPS will not have PT Conferences today. We will have an early out tomorrow at 1:00 and conferences starting at 3:00.


Due to poor road conditions, below-freezing temperatures, and blowing snow, MPS will not have school tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12th. We will decide on Parent-Teacher Conferences tomorrow. There will be no evening activities.


Good news to our American Heart Association Duck Club...Due to many activities and absences due to illness, we are extending our Jump Rope for Heart event until February 21st. Keep up the excellent work. -Nurse Julie and Mr. McCarthy

Update for our youngest learners...


The obstacle course wasn't just for the students today. Our teachers are good sports!



Third graders can earn fun things in the library like sitting in the star seat. This student liked it so much he announced today that he would like to become a librarian when he grows up!


Mr. McCarthy sets up thee best obstacle course! Fun fact: Mrs. Stepp had the fastest time of all staff.
