
4th grade bringing our library story to life today in the CLJ media center! We got up and moving to compete in some unicorn themed relays after reading I'm a Unicorn, by Helen Yoon.




Circle of Friends supported by Autism Action Partnership is a program that fosters meaningful connections between peers and target students. By meeting twice a month, members have the opportunity to interact, build friendships, and create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and accepted. Our gatherings include team-building activities, open conversations, and fun games, all aimed at supporting one another and strengthening our community.

Due to poor road conditions and dropping temperatures, MPS will have a 10:00 a.m. late start tomorrow. Please be careful and give yourself extra time. If you are not able to get to school tomorrow, please contact your school building.


Due to blizzard conditions in our area, MPS will not have school tomorrow, Wednesday, March 19th. There will be no evening activities. Please be safe; the weather service predicts poor road conditions and visibility issues for most of tomorrow morning into the afternoon.

Great Win for the Lady Whippet basketball team! We will play Friday morning. MPS will not have school on Friday, March 7th. Go Whippets!


If you are going to Lincoln this morning, please check 511. Several roads, including the interstate, are closed or completely snow covered.


We will have a 2:00 dismissal today, March 4th, due to extremely high winds and eventually snow in the later afternoon. Please be safe; wind gusts have the potential to increase to 60+ mph, and an inch of snow could cause blizzard-like conditions.


Due to the adverse weather conditions predicted for Tuesday mid day through night, we are making the following changes for activities:
1. The girls basketball team will now leave for State Basketball in Lincoln at 10:00am on Tuesday March 4th.
2. Home Quiz Bowl Meet scheduled for March 4th is CANCELLED.
3. Speech Performance Night scheduled for March 4th has been moved to Thursday March 6th at 7pm.
4. NO EVENING ACTIVITIES allowed on Tuesday March 4th.

Due to an early State Girls' Basketball game on Wednesday, March 5th, MPS will not have school. We will have school on Thursday, but we will not have school on Friday, March 6th, when the girls win.

The CLJMS book fair will remain open after school this week, through Thursday, to allow additional time for students to make purchases they may have missed last week due to weather cancellations. Come find a book to cozy up with during these cold snowy winter days.

Extreme Cold Watch is in effect from Monday through Thursday. A prolonged period of dangerously cold wind chills as low
as 15 to 30 degrees below zero is possible. Be safe, and if you need a ride, call your school building, and we can arrange a ride.


Due to poor road conditions, extreme cold temperatures, and continued snowfall, MPS will not have PT Conferences today. We will have an early out tomorrow at 1:00 and conferences starting at 3:00.
