Summer Safety Tips
1. Sun Safety
1. Wear sunscreen SPF 30 or higher and reapply every 2 hours, especially after swimming.
2. Wear hats, sunglasses and protective clothing.
3. Drink plenty of water....stay hydrated.
2. Water Safety
1. Swim with a buddy.
2. Follow pool and beach rules. Listen to lifeguards and adults.
3. Wear a lifejacket when boating or if you are not a strong swimmer.
3. Outdoor Safety
1. Wear a helmet when biking, skating or riding scooters.
2. Look both ways before crossing the street.
3. Stay in safe, familiar areas.
4. Take frequent breaks to avoid getting overheated.
4. Heat Safety
1. Drink water often...even if you're not thirsty.
2. Take breaks in the shade or indoors.
3. Watch for signs of heat injuries like dizziness, nausea or fatigue.
5. Online Safety
1. Don't share personal information online
2. Be very careful who you talk to or add as friends.
3. Take a break from screen time and enjoy life offline.

1. Let someone know where and when you are going somewhere.
