State Tests --

Important Changes:

1.    NeSA Writing is OFFICIALLY OBSOLETE.

2.    Reading and Writing will be combined in the new NeSA-ELA Assessment for                         Grades 3-8

3.    The ELA Assessment will include new test items that incorporate written responses for Grades 5-8. These new items are called Text Dependent Analysis items (TDA).

4.    Grade 11 students will be assessed via a College and Career Readiness Assessment NOT NeSA ELA. Therefore, Grade 11 will not participate in the TDA Scoring.

NeSA-Test Window

The ELA Assessment window is March 20-May 6, 2017.

MAP Testing
All students will be tested in the Fall and the Spring.  Some students may also be tested during the Winter session.

MAP, or the Measure of Academic Progress, is a computerized adaptive test which helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child's academic growth.

This document shows the specific goal areas for the math, reading and language tests for NeSA tests prior to 2016/17 school years.
